Strategic advisory at the intersection of education, communication, and institutional decision-making

Focus of Work

My work is grounded in the medical humanities and health communication, with particular attention to how dialogue, narrative, and institutional context shape professional practice in high-stakes environments.

Narrative, Identity, and Institutional Context

I  focus on moments where narrative coherence becomes consequential—when misalignment between identity, preparation, and institutional norms introduces risk, misunderstanding, or ethical tension.

Ethics, Judgment, and Communicative Practice

Rather than treating communication as a transferable skill, I approach it as a site of judgment, where communicative choices carry moral weight within complex institutional systems.

Health Communication and Professional Formation

My work considers how future health professionals are socialized into communicative norms and institutional expectations, and how language mediates the relationship between technical expertise and human experience.

Medical Dialogue and Clinical Interaction

I examine how meaning, authority, and trust are co-constructed through language in clinical and educational encounters. This includes attention to silence, framing, metaphor, and misalignment as sites of ethical and professional judgment.
